Gloria “Bootsie” Morgan, 80, of Groves, passed away on August 23, 2022, at The Medical Center in SETX in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be determined at a later time.
Gloria was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on August 3, 1942. She was the daughter of Carl Albers Sr. and Selma Kubitz Albers. She was married to Vernon “Eddie” Morgan Sr. She worked in Child Care for 35 years. She was always so crafty she enjoyed sewing and painting ceramics. Her favorite memories were the trips to Las Vegas which she loved so much.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon “Eddie” Morgan Sr. One sister and two brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Greg Morgan and wife Pauline of Groves, Texas; Vernon Morgan Jr. and wife Donna of Groves, Texas; daughter, Neicole Macon of Groves, Texas; seven grandchildren, Brandy Kiser, Alicia Tarver, Chance Morgan, Alana Morgan, Alissa Carver, Kane Adams, and Jacob Macon; seventeen great-grandchildren; sister, Clara “Tootie” Mitchell and husband Roland of Port Arthur, Texas; brother, Curtis Albers and wife Frannie of Port Arthur.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
