Gloria Reeks Owers, 79, of Groves, Texas passed away Monday, July 8, 2019 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. Gloria was born September 7, 1939 in Anacoco, Louisiana to Lester George Reeks and Lillie Almeda Mitchell Reeks. She was a resident of Groves for 25 years and self-employed healthcare provider. Gloria was a current member of McLewis Church of Christ in Orangefield, and former member of West Groves Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughters, Jeannine Allen and husband Merle of Little Cypress, and Melodie Willis and husband James of Groves; brother, L. Arneil Reeks of Dubach, LA; grandchildren, Kelly Marshall Bonura, Jody Marshall and wife Leslie, Jeffory Willis and wife Kayla, Ashley Vandiver and husband Jarred; great-grandchildren, Julia Bonura, Spencer Bonura, Christina Goodwin, Emmaylnn Marshall, Holden Willis, and Ella Willis; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 12, 2019 at the funeral home with Mr. Jeff Trahan officiating. Graveside service will be at 12 noon, Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hornbeck, Louisiana with Mr. Doug Crain officiating under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
