Glynda Faye Peveto

Glynda Faye Peveto, 76, of Nederland, Texas passed away September 18, 2021. She was born in Kaplan, Louisiana on January 27, 1945 to the late Raymond Powell and Lillian Askew Powell. Glynda was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur.

Those left to cherish Glynda’s memory are her sons, Eric Flyn Thames of Nederland and Shad Peveto of Beaumont; her daughters, Kimberly Michell Barton of Groves and Natalie Lynette Guidry of Nederland; her grandchildren, Amanda Barton, Jessica Sasser Henson, Lacy Reed, Gage Holmes, Asia Holmes, Jordan Eric Thames, Jennifer Marie Thames, and Grace `Victoria Thames; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Walter Peveto; and her daughter Tangla Holmes.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. John Hughes officiant. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
