Gordon Neal Satterwhite, 85, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Gordon was born on April 1, 1933 in Shelbyville, Texas to Grady and Verne (Boles) Satterwhite. He was married to the loved of his life Lois Satterwhite for 65 years and they had four children, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He proudly served in the United States Army and worked for Gulf Oil for 34 years until his retirement. Gordon was a master at any trade but his greatest joy was working in his yard or someone elses yard. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Satterwhite; daughter, Susan Hilton; brother, Grady Satterwhite; and sister-in-law, Betty Satterwhite. He is survived by son, Michael Satterwhite (Cathy); daughters, Cathy Broussard (Ray), and Ann Landry (Gene); grandchildren, Stephanie LeJune, Jana Satterwhite, Jacob Broussard, Kristen Abshire, Kacie Young, Cari Hicks and Ashley Morphey; great-grandchildren, Trey Miller, Kennedy LeJune, Tatum Feldshau, Finley Abshire, Ethan Dunlap, Madison Dunlap, Andrew Young, Lily Broussard, Jaxx Broussard and Juna Satterwhite. Pallbearers will be Jacob Broussard, Bryan Young, Ethan Dunlap, Jonathan Morphey, Trey Miller and Wayne Miller. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Jason Martin from First Baptist Church in Port Neches officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Special thank you to Carolina, Ida and to all of the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice of Beaumont for the excellent care of our father. Gordons sense of humor and great laugh will be greatly missed.

Daddy, I miss you and mom so so much. I never imagined in 2 weeks time you and mom would both b making your journeys home. I know u r dancing in heaven and you and mom are happy as can be. It will never be the same without you and mom. I bet Susan was waiting at the gates of Heaven to bring you both home. Take care of mom and Sister. You and mom will be missed so very much by all of us. Fly high daddy and enjoy every minute with Jesus. We love you daddy!!! Thank you for being such an awesome father!!

So sorry for your family's loss. Gordon was always so sweet, kind and big smile with his usual greeting of "how you doing?" He loved dry roasted peanuts and eating raw onions with everything. Loved he and your mom. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mr. Gordon, Wow! What can I say?! You & Lois were my Meemaw & Pawpaw'best friends/neighbors for years! Yall have watched us grow up from children to mow adults! Your love & loyalty to the Lord has always amazed me and you, my friend, were the perfect example of how us Christian's should always be. You always kept your yard so perfect & always put away everyone's trash cans. Ha ha. You will be greatly missed by ao many people that loved tou but you are with Lois, your family but most of all.....you are with Jesus!!!!

So sorry for your loss. We loved both your parents. Your Dad would always put up all of our garbage cans on Monday mornings. He was always so cheerful when you saw him and your Mom always made us laugh.
