Greg Duhon, aged 47, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, in Groves, Texas. He was born on October 11, 1977, in Houston, Texas, and leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished by many.
Greg dedicated ten years of his life as an operator for RBF, where he was known for his hardworking nature and commitment to his job. He was a proud graduate of Port Neches Groves High School, always holding fond memories of his educational journey and the friendships he forged during those formative years.
To many, Greg was not just a friend; he was a true confidant and comedic spirit. Known for his ability to share a joke while maintaining a perfectly straight face, it was often hard to tell when he was being serious or just playful. His sense of humor brought joy and comfort to those around him, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Greg found joy in many hobbies and interests. He was an avid fisherman who loved spending time out on the lake, connecting with nature and enjoying the tranquility it brought him. The beach was a favorite getaway, providing him the perfect setting for relaxation. Additionally, Greg had a passion for cooking and barbecuing, often hosting lively gatherings for his friends and family, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
He is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn Duhon, and her husband, Jayden Landry; his son, Keigean Duhon; and his grandchildren, Jaxton Landry and Ava Landry. Greg also leaves behind his mother, Beverly Duhon, and the mother of his children, Kristi Duhon. He is remembered lovingly by his sisters, Tracy Reaux and her husband, Britt, and Stephanie Duhon and her fiancé, Joe Gonzalez; and his brother, Kevin Duhon and friend, Sarena Davis. A host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends will also hold Greg's memory close to their hearts.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, Michael Dale Duhon. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather, and friend whose spirit touched the lives of many.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM, both taking place at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Groves located at 5601 39th St, Groves, TX 77619. The interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
Greg's legacy of love, laughter, and friendship will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed yet lovingly remembered.
