Gwen Pruitt

Gwen Pruitt, 69, of Nederland, Texas passed away August 13, 2021. She was born in Beaumont, Texas on Jun 7, 1952 to the late Grover Barnes and Billie Clark. Gwen was a long time and dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Nederland. She loved her bible study group and was very involved in the church. She was a music fanatic. Gwen was especially proud to play her outlaw country music where everyone could hear it. She was an animal lover. Her cats were like her second children. Gwen owned and collected over 30,000 records. She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She will be missed deeply.
Those left to cherish Gwen’s memory are her children, James Pruitt, Lisa Pruitt, and William Pruitt; her grandchildren, Isabella Pruitt, Elijah Pruitt, Aireana Pruitt, Emily Pruitt, Addy Pruitt, and Harlie Pruitt; and her sister, Shelby Alderson and her husband, Rick. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Terry Pruitt; and her son, Gary Pruitt.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at First Baptist Church in Nederland on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at First Baptist Church in Nederland on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Allen Cade officiant.
