H. Allen "Bo" Smith, 88, died on Monday, June 8, 2015, at his residence. He was born on January 9, 1927, in Port Neches, to Masil Houghton Smith and Jack Smith, and was a lifelong resident of the area. Bo served in World War II and the Korean War. He was a shift supervisor at Jefferson Chemical (Texaco) from which he retired in 1986. His hobbies were Indian motorcycles, squirrel hunting, gardening and reading. He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Dorothy Pate Smith, of Port Neches; daughters, Nancy Smith of Port Neches, Niki Lege of Nederland, and Allenda Savant and husband Doug of Port Neches; grandchildren, Zack Lege of Groves, Stephen Savant and wife Whitney of Nederland, and Sterling Savant of Port Neches; great grandchild, Ella Savant of Nederland; and brother, Raymond Smith of Kingwood, TX. Bo was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Funeral service will be Friday, June 12, at 1:00 p.m., at First United Methodist Church Port Neches. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches. The family thanks Mary Ann Windam and Gentiva Hospice for Bo's care and their support to the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Building Renovation and Playground Fund of the First United Methodist Church Port Neches, P.O. Box 277, Port Neches, TX, 77651.
