H. Dean Hoy, 86, of Nederland made his final journey to the Lord, Monday, August 20, 2012 at his residence in Nederland. Dean was born October 3, 1925 in Smackover, Arkansas to the late Woodie and Nannie Hoy and lived 22 years in Nederland. Dean retired from Texaco Refinery in Port Arthur as a Chief Engineer with 35 years of service. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Nederland.Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Melancons Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland with Rev. Dr. Jason Burden officiating. A gathering of the family and friends will be Thursday from 9:00 AM to the service time at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Serenity Mausoleum at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.Dean was preceded in death by his parents, also his wife, Mary Evelyn Hoy. He is survived by his wife Betty M. Hoy of Nederland three daughters, Susan Daigle and her husband, Clifford of Orange, Janet Webb and her husband, Ron of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Karla Hill and her husband, John of Galveston his son, Mike Hoy and his wife, Karla of League City his stepdaughter, Cindy Ollis and her husband, Greg of Houston seven grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, and seven greatgrandchildren.Memorial contributions can be made to the Rebounders Bible Class at the First Baptist Church in Nederland.Details and guest registry available at Melancons.org.
