It was an honor to know Dr Hamby. He was the epitome of what a physician should be. He cared for my whole family for many years and I had the privilege to be one of his nurses for a few years at Neches Butane. I have so many fond memories of him. I know he will be met in Heaven with so many that loved him. Rest In Peace Dr Hamby Andi Sawyer Weber and family

Dr Hamby was a true man's man and just a straight honest likeable guy. He was very common sense in his practice and his way of life in general. If you saw him outside of his practice, he was the same friendly guy. He and I shared like passions of woodworking. He also was my company's doctor and found my cancer in the very early stages during a yearly routine check up as well. He will truly be missed. Our prayers and thoughts are with his family.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr. Hamby. He worked with me at BASF in the Medical Department for my first 9 years here. He was always a delight and the employees out here adored and respected him. When we would have a break between patients, we would visit and he loved to talk about his vacations, experiences in his medical career, and often had some really great life advice. I have to say he was one of the smartest and most genuine people I have ever met, one of the good guys. When he would leave for the week, he would always say "see you next week, good Lord willing and the creek don't rise." He will be missed. Keeping the family in my prayers. Denise Dry
