TAPS Hadson L Roy, Korean War Veteran Day is done. Gone the sun. From the lakes From the hills. From the sky. All is well. Safely rest. God is nigh. Fading light. Dims the sight. And a star. Gems the sky. Gleaming bright. From afar. Drawing nigh. Falls the night. Thanks and praise. For our days. Neath the sun Neath the stars. Neath the sky As we go. This we know. God is nigh

It's the Soldier - In Honor of Hadson L Roy, Korean War Veteran It’s the Soldier, not the pastor/preacher, who has given us freedom of religion and worship. It’s the Soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It’s the Soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It’s the Soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble and demonstrate. It’s the Soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. It’s the Soldier, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote, ensures our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. It’s the Soldier,Who salutes the Flag, who serves beneath the Flag and whose coffin is draped by the Flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the flag. ETERNAL REST GRANT HIM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON HIM.

Our deepest condolences to Alberta and Hadson's family. So, sorry to hear about Hadson passing. I can recall when I was a youngest, Hadson would come spend the summer with me, my Mom and Dad on the farm in New Iberia, LA. He would help Dad on the farm, mending fences and repairs on the barn and other buildings. Hadson was a great mentor and I admired him as a young man (teenage) and me as a young boy.
