Harold Joseph Gotte, 69, of Vidor, Texas passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Harold was born June 2, 1947 in Iota, Louisiana to Willis Gott and Estelle Duplantis Gott. He has been a resident of Vidor since 1997 and former owner of Lakeview Eatery in Vidor from 1997-2008. Harold was a retired carpenter and proudly served in the National Guard for 6 years. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Wanda Ozio Gotte of Vidor, TX; two sons, Shane Gotte and his wife Angela of Orange, TX, Corey Gotte and his wife Robin of Vidor, TX; two sisters, Penny Blackwell of Lafayette, LA and Jean Falls of Mamou, LA; and one brother, Harvey Gott of Iota, LA; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Wayne Ozio and Reverend Kenneth DeHart officiating. A second service will be held at Matthews Funeral Home in Jennings, Louisiana with burial to follow at Gott Cemetery in Evangeline, Louisiana. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wanda, we're so sorry for your loss. Harold was a man to remember, he was a true Cajun and proud of it. I wish my dad could have spoke some French with him. Lol. He loved having family & friends over for a crawfish boil and was always a host that made sure everyone was getting enough to eat. Same is true when yall had the Restuarant. He will surely be missed. Let us know if there is anything we can do. We love you.

So very sorry to hear about Harold, I always liked and thought the world of him. Trisha and I was just talking about him about a month or so ago, ya'll are in our prayers.
