Harold Dwayne “Harry” Hill, 67, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas.
Harold was born on September 5, 1955, in Kirbyville, Texas to Mary Alethea Kitchens Hill and Benjamin Floyd Hill. He was a retired truck driver and former pipefitter and last worked at K.D.R. Supply. Harold was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Nederland. He had many hobbies which included tinkering with cars and trucks; he liked building things such as BBQ pits, structures and furniture. Harold loved driving around and he enjoyed going fishing with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Lora Elaine Sanders Hill of Nederland; children, Eric Hill of Nederland and Lena Bernard of Flower Mound, Texas; brothers, Vance Hill and Herman Hill; sister, Desi May Garner; grandchildren, Abbie Lane Hill, Logan Douglas Hill, Gabriel Paul Hill, Ivy Rae Bernard, Kyli Sage Hill, Adam Jay Neel and Bethashleigh Lovett.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Floyd Hill and Mary Alethea Hill and his brother, Robert Hill.
A gathering of friends and family will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland. Services will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Melancon Funeral Home with burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.
In lieu of flowers the family strongly suggests that “Memorial Contributions” be made to a charity of choice.
