Harold “J.R.” B. Trosclair, Jr., 68, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. J.R. was born in Port Arthur, Texas on August 30, 1953 to the late Harold B. Trosclair, Sr. and Vivian May Cutaia Trosclair.

J.R. was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and retired from The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. J.R. is a 1972 graduate of Nederland High School. He enjoyed listening to music and DJ’ing, watching Nederland Bulldog football, and reading his bible

Those left to cherish J.R.’s memory are his brother, Tommy Trosclair, Sr. and his wife, Lori of Hemphill; sister, Linda Trosclair James of Nederland; nieces and nephews, Vicki Fowler and husband, Charlie of Bridge City; Tommy Trosclair, Jr. of Groves; Jennifer Johnson and husband, Jeff of Bridge City, and Allison James and Bella Chanel of Port Neches; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A memorial service to honor J.R.’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. immediately following the gathering. The service will be officiated by Father John Hughes. A private burial will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nederland High School Athletics Department.
