Harriet Lucille Butler Lazenby, 88, of Port Arthur, Texas died Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Grace Care Center in Houston, Texas. Lucille was born February 16, 1922 in Tyler County, Texas to Joe Thomas Butler and Iola Segrest Butler. She married Connie Lee Lazenby on July 21, 1940 in Woodville, Texas and lived in Port Arthur, Texas for over sixty years. She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Harbor Assembly of God in Port Arthur. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Nederland, Texas with Rev. Timothy Denham officiating. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Connie Lee Lazenby, sisters, Essie Butler, Clara Wheat, Esther Belle Denham, Marie Biscamp, brothers, Tommy Lewis Butler and James Richard Butler. Surviving relatives include her daughters, Lois Clepper and husband, Elis of Hockley, Texas; Louise Stewart and husband, Bob of Houston, Texas; sons, Floyd Lazenby and wife, Anne of Friendswood, Texas; Connie Loyd Lazenby and wife, Eleanor of Port Arthur, Texas; sister, Dottie Butler of Hockley, Texas; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
