Harvey Roberts Trahan, 89 of Nederland, Texas passed away on Saturday, June, 23, 2018. Harvey was born in Port Arthur, Texas on March 24, 1929 to the late, Joe Trahan and Hazel Roberts Trahan. Harvey served his country proudly in the U.S. Army and retired from Texaco with 33 years of service as a pipe fitter and carpenter.

Harvey is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Bonnie Trahan of Nederland; daughters, Debbie Reed of Nederland and Jodi Orta and her husband, Manuel of Groves; his grandchildren, Ronald Beach, Kimberly Marosis and her husband, Chip Marosis, Justin Orta, Jacob Orta, Haeli Flores, Jordan Orta, Jillian Flores and Chloe Flores; great-grandchildren, Zoe Marosis, Ellie Marosis, Camden Orta, Caesyn Orta and Jayden Orta.

In addition to his parents, Harvey is preceded in death by his brothers, Jesse Owen Trahan and Glynn Dale Trahan.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m., Msgr. Dan Malain, officiant.
