So very sorry to hear of Hazel's passing. Hazel was such a kind, caring, and wonderful lady who I was so blessed to meet through the Gift of Life presentations at The Medical Center. She and Stephanie's story brought many tears to nurses' eyes, opening the door to the need for organ donation and influencing both young and seasoned nurses. Hazel, thank you so much for sharing your time, story and life with us. You truly will be missed . . . Cheryl

My great friend, lunch buddy, and speaking partner. You have touched my life for the past 8 years and have made a difference in my career. You will be truly missed by me and all of the hospital staff members and Lamar faculty who you have made such a strong impression on. I know you were very strong in your faith and are now watching down over us. My thoughts and prayers are with Sonny, Deb, and all of your family and friends. God Bless you Ms. Hazel. I have known Hazel since first grade at Immaculate Conception, our parents knew one another too. I had dinner with Hazel on 6/23/2011 when a group of 8th grade graduates from Immaculate Conception gathered for lunch. Hazel was in such great spirits and looked so lovely, I cannot believe she has passed on. Blessings to all of her family, I know you will miss her. Sandra (Hunt) Bridges
