Hazel Jo Davis, 73, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Hazel was born February 2, 1939 in Boxelder, Texas to Vernon and Ruby Fogleman. She was a resident of Port Arthur for 36 years and member of Red Hatters and Canasta Club. Her love of travel took her through 49 of 50 U.S. States and Canada. She also had an enormous love of animals. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Church. Survivors include her husband of 36 years Jimmy Davis of Port Arthur; two sons, Randy Smith and wife, Sandra of Killeen, and Donald Church of Kemah; two step-daughters, Renee' Canizaro of Houston and Phyllis Burris of Port Arthur; two step-sons, Ralph Davis and wife, Pam of Buna, Mark Davis and wife, Rebecca of Dallas; sisters, Beatrice Crader and husband Donald of Willis Point, Frances Carthorn of Detroit; seven grandchildren, Christine, Emily, Michael Jr., Andrew, Adam, Carly, Erin, Matthew and Jeremy. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 30, 2012 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening from 3:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
