Hazel Marie Guidry, 96, of Woodville formerly of Nederland passed away February 24, 2014 at the Tyler County Hospital in Woodville. She was born on August 18, 1917 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Voorhies and Stella Ducharme Broussard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Kevin Badeaux celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a Vigil at 6:00 p.m. with a Cursillo rosary to follow.

Hazel is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wilson J. Guidry; her brother, Freddie Broussard; and her great-grandsons, Trey Barnett and Tyler Holmes. She is survived by her daughters, Delores Knoblock of Livingston and Barbara Swinney and husband, Kenneth of Livingston; her sons, Charles Guidry and wife, Kathy of Georgetown and Kent Guidry and wife, Jennifer of Bridge City; brother, Murphy Broussard of Nederland; grandchildren, Karen, Dianne, Mark, Lisa, Les, Cindi, Drek, Lindsay, Brooke, and Reid; 20 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; anticipating 2 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; and numerous nephews and many close friends.
