Hazel Lucile Hinson

Hazel Lucile Hinson, 82, of Georgetown, formally of Nederland, passed away, Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at her residence in Georgetown.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with Rev. Dr. Jason Burden officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hinson was retired from the State of Texas as a secretary in the Department of Human Services in Beaumont. She was a member of the Central Gardens Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.

Mrs. Hinson is survived by her daughter, Debra D. Ezell and her husband Michael of Georgetown; her brother, Larry Johnson of Houston; her grandchildren, Andrew and Katie Ezell of Georgetown, Jared and Wendy Hinson of Port Neches, and Jennifer Hinson of North Carolina; her great grandchildren, Samantha Hinson and Kalin Cassidy of North Carolina.

Mrs. Hinson was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Shaler Johnson and Albert Shaler, also her son Gary Hinson.
