I met Heath when his family moved to a home a few doors down the street from me when we were in kindergarten. We quickly became friends and our birthdays were only two days apart. My biggest memories of our friendship were hydrosliding behind the grape ape bass boat on the neches river, spending the night at his house because his parents were cooler than mine, and the numerous fishing trips we were blessed to make together over the years. Heath was an all-around good guy, the oldest son, the big brother, a loving husband, and a great dad. My heart hurts for his family, and will for a long time. I love all of you and I will continue to pray for peace, comfort, and healing during this difficult time. RIP my good friend.
