Heidi Stansbury Howell

Heidi Stansbury Howell, 75, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on October 24, 2021. She was born in Bremerhaven, Germany on May 30, 1946 to the late Adam Stansbury and Lydia Wellbrock Stansbury.

Most of Heidi’s younger years were spent living in Abbeville, LA, but when she turned 30, she moved to Port Arthur, Texas. Heidi worked for more than 20 years at Southern Union Gas before retiring. After a few years of retirement, Heidi realized retirement wasn’t for her. She went back to work for Remax and did not fully retire until she was 73 years old. Heidi was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. One of the greatest joys in life for Heidi was being a “Nana”. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.

Those left behind to cherish Heidi’s memory are her mother, Lydia Stansbury of Perry, LA; daughter, Kimberly Gaspard and her husband, Mitch of Ruston, LA; son, Scott Howell of Port Arthur, TX; grandchildren, Brae Dugas and her husband Taylor of Arlington, TX, Paeton Reed and her husband, Ryan of Baton Rouge, LA, Cameron Larson of Nederland, TX, Britton Larson of Nederland, TX, Austin Larson of Nederland, TX, Layla Howell of Port Neches, TX, Lennon Howell of Port Neches, TX, Oakley Reed of Baton Rouge, LA; brother, Frank Stansbury of Lafayette, LA, and Rachel Anuskey and her husband, Frank of Delaware. Heidi is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Howell; father; daughter, Jodi Larson; and brother, Larry Stansbury.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of both Heidi Stansbury Howell and her husband, Charles Thomas Howell, will be held on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Human Society of Southeast Texas located at 2050 Spindletop Ave, Beaumont, TX 77705.
