Helen Irene Ener, 82 of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011. She was born September 8, 1928 in Sabine County, Texas to Thomas Rushing and Gladys West Rushing. She was a resident of Port Arthur for the past 4 years after moving here from Lufkin. She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lester Ener and son, Gary Ener. Survivors include her daughters, Betty Stratton of Port Arthur, Mary Rice of Port Arthur, Ruth Gaspard and husband, J.R. of Lufkin, Angie Locke and her husband, Steven of Lufkin; sons, Greg Ener and wife, Tammy of Lufkin, Bill Ener of Houston; two grandchildren, Derek Barlow and Gregory Ener ; five great-grandchildren, Shandi Chapa, Jim Thibodeaux, Abigail Weissinger, Gabriel Ener, and Heaven Ener; and three great-great grandchildren, Logan Chapa, Austin Chapa and Chole Weissinger. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas with Dr. Rick Erwin officiating. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 p.m. in Oak Hill Cemetery in Hemphill, Texas with Reverend Aaron Pardue officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday evening from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

ruthy "muffin" sorry for the loss of your mother what ever you need just tell me. i liked your mother alot i miss having a cup of coffe that she used to made some mornings in her apt in lufkin.will be thinking of you and your family with love EUGENE!!
