Helen Christine Harbour, 90, of Nederland, Texas passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital. Helen was born October 20, 1931, in Onalaska, Texas to the late John and Effie (Dahl) Ermel.
Helen married Elmer Harbour in February of 1957 and made Nederland, their home until the final years of her life. She was a life-long member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nederland and was in the choir for many years. Helen had a passion for singing, scrapbooking (before it was popular), journaling and sewing.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Harbour.
Those left behind to cherish Helen’s memory are her daughter, Carolyn Stinson of Houston, TX; sons, David Harbour and Vanessa Pellegrin of Nederland, TX; and Gary Harbour and his husband, James Robbins of Dallas, TX; brothers Marvin Ermel and his wife, Joann of Nederland, TX; and Ronnie Ermel and his wife, Elna of Humble, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Fairbanks Court Assisted Living for the love and care they provided to their mother during her final years.
A graveside service for Ms. Helen will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
