Helen Marie McGuire Gloar, 82, of Nederland, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016. Helen was born June 23, 1934 in Merryville, LA to the late Guy Stark and Jewel James Schroeder Stark. Helen was a member of The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda McGuire of Port Arthur; sons, Mike McGuire and wife, Desire’ of Nederland, Eric McGuire and wife Sandra of Sour Lake, Trace McGuire and wife Trish of Amarillo; grandchildren, Zac McGuire and wife Casie, Clint McGuire and wife Kim, Daniel McGuire, Chris McGuire, Jeremy Burgess, Bethany Torres, Seth Higgins, Analece Leger, Timothy Leger, William Leger, Chase McGuire, Logan McGuire, Caleb McGuire, Joshua McGuire, Jessie McGuire, Kelly McGuire and Jason Michael Burgess; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Luke, Jack, Sam, Beau, Jr., Breelyn, Jax, Madelynn, Avery and Torri. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Jerry Davis McGuire and George Gloar; son, Jeff McGuire.
There will be a gathering of family and friends Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Vidor, TX with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. The interment will be Monday, September 19, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Quicksand Cemetery, County Road 2012, Newton, TX 75966, under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland, TX.
