Helen Elizabeth Smith, 86, of Port Neches, Texas died Monday, July 01, 2013 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. Helen was born February 27, 1927 in Port Arthur, Texas to Charles T. Perdue and Emma Pearl Vernon Perdue. She was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and Port Arthur College. She was a homemaker and also worked with her husband after all their children were out of school. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m. until time of service Friday, July 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles G. Smith, Sr., 1 sister and 4 brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Ginger Smith Temple and husband Wayne of Nederland, Texas; sons, Charles G. Smith, Jr. of Kemah, Texas; Michael Lee Smith of Nederland, Texas; grandchildren, Stacey Guidry, Eric Gunter and wife Maria, Holly Hebert, Kurtice Smith and wife Tamara, Sonny Smith, Lindsey Mathias and husband Jim, Wes Temple and wife Marcie, Justice Temple, and Lexi Temple; 9 great grandchildren.
