Mrs. Helma Sawyer Mrs. Helma Sawyer, 53, of Groves passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015 at her home. She was born on March 5, 1961 in Brim, Germany. Helma had lived in Groves since 1985 and was employed with Total Petrochemicals as a security officer. Helma's favorite thing was spending time with her husband and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Helma is survived by her husband, Mark Sawyer of Groves, daughter, Sandra Green and husband, Richard of Lumberton, two sons, Mark Sawyer, Jr and Daniel Sawyer both of Groves, two brothers, Wilfred Franson and Rhinehart Franson and four grandchildren, Kailynn, Alyssa, Millie, and April.

My deepest condolences on the loss of your wife/ sister/ mother/ grandmother. As a co-worker, I could always count on Helma having a smile on her face, a kind word for everybody, and a willing attitude to do whatever needed to get the job done. I always enjoyed stopping by when she was on duty to enjoy some fun & friendly conversation. She will definitely be missed by all who knew her!!! It is an honor to call her friend. May God bless you and comfort you as we travel down this new path without Helma physically by our side.

I first met Helma as an Assistant Manager at Wendy's in Groves. She was the hardest worker and always a cheerful person. My condolences to Mark and the rest of the Sawyer family. Helma will be missed.

my daughter worked with helma at dairy queen. i saw helma sometime last year and i told her i was shelleys mom and she told me to tell shelley hello she was a very sweet person and i loved her accent r.i.p prayers for the family i have been in your shoes i lost my husband to cancer in 2010. peace be with you
