Henry quotHankquot Paul Barron, Jr., 76, of Nederland, passed away at his home on June 25, 2011. He was born June 22, 1935 to the late Henry Paul Barron, Sr., and Mable Vidrine Barron in Ville Platte, La. and was a resident of Nederland for seventy years.Mr. Barron was a U. S. Army veteran, was a selfemployed carpenter and worked in the construction industry. He was member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland and was past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.He is survived by his wife Isabelle Barron five sons: Michael Wayne Barron and wife Delores, John David Barron and wife Karla, Henry Paul Barron, III, Judd Kerr Barron and partner Melanie O39Niel,and Edward Leo Barron and partner Michael DeLaCruz daughter Sheila Denise Benefield and husband Jody adopted son, Chuck Shields four stepsons: Bryan Grant and wife Pam, Ronnie Grant and wife Cindy, John Grant and Terry Ray Grant stepdaughter Lisa Ann Kimball and husband Lecel. He is also survived by sisters Irene Lynd and husband Lawrence and Shirley Harrington and husband Daniel 22 grandchildren and 12 great grand children and special friend Floyd Hammock.Henry is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Susan Bertrand. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, June 27, 2011, from 5 pm to 8 pm at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Ave H, in Nederland with a Rosary at 6 pm. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 10 am in Melancon39s Funeral Home with Father David Placette officiating. Cremation to follow.
