I always admired Wayne and really the whole family. When ever I saw him at Reunions or at my Great Great Aunt Mary And Uncle Marlon's home, he was always kind.

My parents, Pat and Vera Anderson and I were best friends with the Minton family. Wayne, as well as the rest of the family were kind hearted and fun loving as well as, of course, were hard working! The words of this song a friend of mine wrote, reminds me of the time period we grew up Pickin' Peas "Sittin' on the sofa sippin' iced tea Watchin' AS THE WORlD TURNS on the TV Electric fan blowin' air on me Pan full of purple hulls on my knees. Well I'm as lucky as a gal can be A dark-haired man is crazy 'bout me We got four kids and a dog with fleas Raised'em all on Jesus and purple hull peas. Ev'ry night I get on my knees Thank the Lord for Jesus and my family Just as I close my eyes to sleep I say thank you Lord for purple hull peas. I'm ready Lord when your're ready for me And I know when I get to heaven, for me Is a great big helpin' of purple hull peas - Served with a side of cornbread please. Pickin' peas, picken' peas In God's own garden someday I'll be Pickin' peas. The Good Lord knows I love purple hull peas. (by J. Alford) After church on Sunday ---- Helen cooked up some great meals and we all shared fishing stories, and memories of days gone by. Love to you all and know how much you loved Wayne. He was the BEST of the BEST! With heart felt regards, Carlene Anderson Lloyd

I am sorry for your loss and encouraged by the joy in Heaven where Wayne now resides without a doubt. In my life, other than my dad, there are about three other men that were what I considered to be no finer examples to pattern your life after...Wayne was one of the three. I am sorry I could not be there, please forgive me.Bless you in the days to come and you are in my prayers.
