Henry J. Piletere, 93 of Port Arthur, TX passed away June 13, 2016 at Cypress Glen Nursing & Rehab in Port Arthur, TX. Henry was born October 11, 1922 to the late Phillip and Mary Dimaggio Piletere. He was born in Port Arthur, TX.
He worked at Gulf refinery and retired after 38 years. He loved to fish
and work in his garden. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Visitation will be held Wednesday June 15, 2016 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm
with a rosary at 6:00pm, at Melancon’s Funeral Home. Funeral Services
will be held Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 10:00am, at Melancon’s Funeral Home. Interment will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, TX.
Survived by sons; Darrell Piletere and wife Mary of Groves, TX,
Craig Piletere and wife Sheila of Nederland, TX; step-children; Brett and
Julie Kayla of Bridge City, TX, Scott Kayla of Winnie, TX, Kelly Bass of Woodville, TX; grandchildren, Teresa Istre, Chad Piletere, Jeremy Piletere and Ryan Piletere; great-grandchildren, Kristen Orris, Brianna Istre,
Haley Istre, Isabelle Piletere, Carter Piletere and Camryn Piletere;
great great-grandchild, Drakon Orris; sister, Mary A. Dorminy and husband Jerry of Portland, TX.
Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Louise Capo, Josephine Wright and Lena Leger; brothers, Pete and Frank Piletere.
