Herman Alvin, you were one of my very best friends in high school. We had a ton of fun fishing and hunting together. Your loyalty was unshakable. I will always love you, my friend. I am going to see you on the other side some day. Be there, I will be looking for you. Love you brother.

Alvin and I communicated over the years for business needs. He was always upbeat, a welcome personality to talk with, and always willing to do whatever it would take to contribute to our needs on the Louisiana side of the river. He and Roland were both good guys. Leon

The one thing I can say about cuz was when he told you he was going to do something you could take it to the bank. You always new where you stood with him because he would let you know. I have to thank him for always being there for me, any time of day or night. He was always more of an uncle to me than a cousin. I could always count on him, that's for sure. There are to many memories to list and not a bad one even comes to mind you'll always be special to me. Cuz Ill never forget you, and always love and cherish all the times we spent together, until we meet again Love you Cuz, Moose

To the family, Alvin was a friend and co worker that I kept in touch with over many years, which to me says a lot about his charector for me to like someone enough to stay in touch. I am glad he allowed me to share in his life.

to the man that I never got to fully understand, I will never forget the life lessons you tried to teach me. From the day I shook your hand you never let up and always made me give a hundred percent. For that you will always be in my life not just as a cousin, but as a boss, co worker, and friend. I love you. Thank you for all that you taught me.

Our deepest condolences to the Meyers family. Alvin was a blessing to work with & always brought a smile to our face. We looked forward to his weekly 4 o'clock Friday calls (made us work the weekend, but we still loved him). It was an honor to know him, meet him & get to build a friendship with him. He was a very honest & hard working man. We here at 3D are going to miss just that & him also. May you find peace in the days & weeks to come. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
