Homer Joseph Comeaux

Homer Joseph Comeaux, 90, of Groves passed away on March 25, 2013 at his residence. He was born on March 27, 1922 in Coteau, Louisiana to the late Remy Comeaux and Clemance Landry Comeaux. He was a member of the Groves Knights of Columbus and was a former Grand Knight. Homer was a retired Pipefitter and served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 1, 2013 at St. Catherines Catholic Church in Port Arthur at 11:00 a.m. with Father Duc Duong celebrant, with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 31, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at Melancons Funeral Home in Nederland.Homer is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Rena Comeaux. He is survived by his son, Leland Comeaux of Port Arthur daughters, Bonnie Miller and her husband, Clint of Nederland Cydnee Green and her husband, Harold of Missouri City Tina Adams and her husband, Randy of Beaumont brothers, Bill Comeaux and his wife, Verna of Groves and Villier Joe Comeaux of Port Acres grandchildren, Ryan Comeaux and his wife, Danielle, Renee Maxwell and her husband, Taylor, Anthony Comeaux, Frances Whitehead and her husband, James, Jeremy Denzlinger and his wife, Katherine, Abram Denzlinger and his wife, Kristen, Micah Denzlinger, Beau Denzlinger and his wife, Tracy, Nicole Garner, Elizabeth Seymour and her husband, James, Bobby Garner, Buddy Adams and his wife, Staci, and Lindsey Adams and 9 greatgrandchildren.

Tina Adams The Comeaux Family: So very sorry to hear of the home going of your loved one. I will cherish the many times I had the honor of seeing and enjoying Mr. Comeaux when he would visit Tina at Huntsman. He was so sweet. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to serve and get to know Mr. Comeaux. He helped me grow as a Christian and kept me on my toes at every turn. I know there is a special place in heaven reserved for such a faithful and loving man.
