Horace "Hoss" Jenkinson, 80, of Groves, Texas passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas. He was born June 20, 1930 in Karnes County, Texas to Stanley and Ann Lee Jenkinson. A resident of Groves for 49 years and member of Friendship Baptist Church, he retired from Chevron as an electrical supervisor. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Survivors include his wife, Velma R. Jenkinson of Groves, TX; daughter, Jill Forse and husband, Mike of Port Neches, TX; son, Jay Jenkinson and wife, Terri Lyn of Nederland, TX; sister, Dorothy Trotman of Winston Salem, NC; brother, John Jenkinson and wife, Marian Ruth of Port Arthur, TX; four grandchildren, Amber McCullough, Chelsea Forse, Jarret Jenkinson, Lindsay Strange; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Thompson, Gracie Thompson, and Logan McCullough. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 5, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Milton Woodall and Reverend Chris Bottoms officiating and Dr. L.A. Richardson assisting. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Velma, I am so sorry for your loss. Hoss was a wonderful, and caring man. I enjoyed his sense of humor, and wit. I know that he helped my son so many times, and how wonderful he was to my family.
