Houston "Pete" Guidry, 88, of Port Arthur died Thursday, May 5, 2011 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born on January 12, 1923 in Crowley, Louisiana to Tolus Guidry and Ozemia Breaux Guidry. Pete was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur. He was retired from Texaco Refinery as an operator control-man. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, serving during World War II. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2011 at Levingston Funeral Home Chapel in Groves with Reverend Stephen McCrate of St. Joseph Catholic Church officiating. A military graveside will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday afternoon at the funeral home from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 4:30 p.m. Pete is survived by his wife; Flossie T. Guidry of Port Arthur, daughter; Sandra Neeb and husband, Steven of Nederland, son; Harry J. Guidry and wife, Martie of Hillister, five grandchildren, four step grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
