Joe Watts

1951 ∼ 2026

Bryan Joseph “Joe” Watts, 74, of Sabine Pass, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by loved ones and the land he loved most—his cherished 47 acres.

Joe was born on August 1,1951, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Joe and Jenny Watts. He lived a life rooted in family, the outdoors, and simple joys.

Joe dedicated many years of his career to Huntsman, where he worked as a maintenance supervisor before retiring. During his time there, he built lasting friendships and was respected by those who worked alongside him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Jenny Watts; his sister, Judy Cox; and his son, Ron Davis.

Joe is survived by the love of his life and devoted wife of 50 years, Betty Lou Watts. He also leaves behind his daughter, Amy Watts Pfeffer of Nederland, Texas; his son, Dan Davis of Kemah, Texas; his daughter, June Jacoway and her husband, Sean, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; his sister, Julie Kimball of Nederland, Texas; his niece, Jenna Kimball; and his beloved grandchildren, Bryce, Dustin, and Meagan Pfeffer, and Savannah and Madison Jacoway.

Joe had a deep passion for the outdoors, especially duck hunting, which he loved above all else. Whether in the blind at sunrise or spending quiet time on the water fishing, he found peace and happiness in nature. He also loved gardening, especially growing his own vegetables, and took particular pride in raising watermelons.

He will be remembered for his steady presence, his love for his family, and the life he built in the place he held closest to his heart.

In honoring Joe’s wishes, a private family ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his memory.
