Hubert Lee Hargrave, 83, of Groves, Texas passed away August 9, 2021. He was born in Midland, Louisiana on July 15, 1938 to the late Eddie Joseph Hargrave and Avelia LeLeux Hargrave. Hubert loved woodworking, playing the guitar, and fishing. He truly was a Master Craftsman. Hubert was a member of Immaculate Conception/St. Peters Catholic Church and enjoyed singing in the St. Peters choir for 25 years. He was an ACTS Brother, and a Cursillista.

Those left to cherish Hubert’s memory are his wife of 61 years, Mary Jane Hebert Hargrave of Groves; his daughters, Tuesday Trimble and her husband, Richard of Groves and Darlene Granger and her husband, Bob of Woodville; his son, Bradley Hargrave and his wife, Tracy of Bridge City; his grandchildren, Justin Granger and wife Caitlin, Jayme Trimble Theriot, Jesika Toner, Jenifer Trimble, Jared Trimble and wife Jo, John Trimble and wife Stacy, Jacob Hargrave and wife Thao, Jordan Hargrave, Jillian Hargrave, Janae’ Hargrave, and Justyn Hargrave; and his great-grandchildren, Hayden Cane, Braden Trimble, Cooper Theriot, Harlee Hargrave, Karson Trimble, Korbin Trimble, Reid Trimble, Harper Hargrave, Kole Trimble, and Killian Granger. He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Ruby Breaux, Leroy Hargrave, Joyce Jackson, Hulin Hargrave, and Martha Jean Mays.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, August 13, 2021 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland from 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Cursillo Rosary being recited at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception/ St. Peters Catholic Church in Groves on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. J. C. Coon celebrant.
