Huey Walter Martin Huey Walter Martin, 65, of Huxley, Texas passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. He was born on October 28, 1952 in Augusta, Georgia to Huey E. Martin and Annie Smith Martin. Huey retired from TOTAL with 40 years of service. He worked as a rigger, pipefitter, fire and safety and shipping and receiving departments. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Groves and had served his country in the United States National Guard for 6 years. As an avid fisherman and hunter, he lived to experience Gods great outdoors every day. He was happiest out on the Lake catching that "Big Bass," just to admire the wonder then gently place it back in the water to catch another day! Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Dr. Joe Worley officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Huey is survived by his wife, Barbara Christopherson Martin of Huxley, daughter, Brooke and husband Mike and granddaughter, Taylor Jade Buckley of Groves and mother-in-law, Dorothy Christopherson of Huxley. his memories will live on through the many people he touched in his life.I know I will be wanting to call and talk fishing and talk about the ol 66 Nova as we did in the years passed!
