Hughie Max Davis, 86, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. Hughie was born May 7, 1931 in Jasper, Texas to Hamilton Davis and AV Welch Davis. He was an area resident for 65 years and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Port Neches. Hughie was a maintenance supervisor for Texaco and retired after 36 years of service. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters and two brothers; and granddaughter Jennifer Davis. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary Jane Davis of Port Neches; daughter, Lisa Kay Baker and husband Phil of Fayetteville; sons, Monte Preston Davis and wife Peggy of Port Neches, Randall Hugh Davis and wife Jennifer of Groves, Jeffrey Lee Davis and wife De Anna of Groves; grandchildren, Josh, Jana, Canaan, Cale, Ashley, Kelsey, Eric, Ashlea, Craig, Jeremy, Jordan, Jake, Callie, Luke and Hannah; thirteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Reverend Rob Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
