Inez Richard

Inez Richard, 97, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015. Inez was born October 1, 1918 in Leonville, Louisiana to William and Lena Richard. She was a lifelong area resident and longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was active in the choir and a member of the Altar Society. She belonged to several Catholic organizations and assuming the position of Secretary in most of the organization, and lived her entire life serving the Lord. Inez retired as a senior confidential secretary from Neches Butane after 37 years of service. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Zula Thibodeaux, Rose Connell and Armede Lanzone; brothers, Octave Richard, Homer Richard and Austin Richard; niece, Gloria Todd; nephew, Larry Lanzone; and great-nephew, William Todd. Survivors include her niece, Deloris Douglas; great-niece, Barbara Charlton; great-nephews, Robert Todd, Russell Todd, Larry Dale Lanzone, Karl Douglas, and Loyd Rieve. A visitation for family and friends will being at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 4600 Procter Street in Port Arthur, Texas followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., with Reverend D. Stephen McCrate and Reverend Kevin Badeaux officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
