Irma Acasia Hebert, 92, of Port Neches, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at her residence. She was born on July 3, 1921 in the Dominican Republic to the late Pastor Francisco and Maria Luisa de Ramirez Megrant. She was a homemaker and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Funeral Services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Will Klinke and Chaplain Rick Morales officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Irma is survived by son, Ronald D. Hebert, Sr. and wife, Miriam of Port Arthur; daughter, Susan Hebert of Port Neches; sister, Bernice Campagna Morales of Arlington; grandson, Ronald D. Hebert, Jr.; granddaughters, Deborah A. Hardy, Linda Whitley, Jessica Wooley, Amanda Wooley Rye, and Krystyn Hebert Reese; 13 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Earl C. Hebert, son, George M. Hebert, sisters, Dilia Schembri and Grace Pabon, and brothers, Frank Megrant, Benjamin Colon, Edward Megrant and Betin Colon, and great-granddaughter, Teri Ann Hardy.
