I have known this wonderful man for many years. He has been a great Pa to my daughters who dearly love him and think of him as their grandfather. We will miss our special birthday gumbo dinners for us all and my talks about life when it is overwhelming. He had the best advice. Most of all we all will miss this sweet man and the unconditional love he gave us all. Minta,Destiny, and Maddie. WE love you always!

It is difficult to fathom the loss of my dear uncle Irven. He has always been someone I looked up to and was guided by his gentle humor and demeanor. He was so instrumental in keeping the larger Walker family together. I will carry him in my heart always. This photo I found is over 20 years old but I am glad to have it. He would greet me with "Hello uglier than me". which I would retort back with. God bless everyone in his family.

To call Irven a friend does not nearly cover him. He was an example to those younger. He would always help, teach , encourage, and most of all give guidance. Guidance in life as well as work. He was a person I would aspire to be like. Kind, loving, available , he was a true friend. I enjoyed working , hunting, fishing with him. We have lost one of the best persons I was fortunate to have known. God blessed us by giving us Irven. Ronnie Fournet.

What a blessing your father was to so many. His love for his family and His heavenly Father was a gift to friends and extended family as well. Losing a father is so hard, but knowing he is with our God helping prepare a place for us is a joy that sustains us all. Praying for you, Sharon, Mrs. Walker, and Steven, and hope to be able to come soon to visit and share wonderful memories. You are loved and lifted to the Father.

It is difficult to know where to begin when speaking of the love I had for this man. He has been such a wonderful and supportive uncle and a true patriarch for the Walker family. He slipped into his own father's role and he has left a very empty space to fill. He has raised three wonderful children and I know his own sons, are men such as their father was. He and Aunt Janet were the model for any marriage as they laughed and loved for 65 years. I have faith that Uncle Irven continues to lead us from heaven as he can now intercede directly for all of our needs to Jesus face to face. I am not sad for him but I am for us.

A homily I once heard talked about how our journey through life was like a train ride where different people will hop on and hop off for varying lengths of time. Irven is one of those beautiful co-passengers that you wish you had sat next to on the train for a lot more miles. You could never get enough of his kindness. Sheila Walker

We have been Blessed to have known Mr. Walker for over 33 years through his son , my brother in law Duane. Mr. Walker was such a good hearted man and I never heard him speak a word against anyone. He grew the best peppers for the wonderful hot sauce he made. Every time I saw him he had a smile on his face. We lost a Wonderful man on this earth but Heaven is celebrating a new member. My continued Prayers for Mrs. Walker and the entire family for God's Peace.
