Irving Canela Diaz, 24, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022. Irving was born on May 1, 1998, in Veracruz, Mexico to Saul and Lidia Canela.

Irving was a ray of sunshine. Regardless of what was going on, he always had a smile on his face. He made an impact in every person’s life he came in contact with. He loved to travel and explore new cities. He loved the gym and was excited to better himself in every possible way he could. He loved going to concerts with his friends. He lived his life to the absolute fullest. Irving was the most selfless human being anyone could have had the pleasure of meeting.

Irving was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his paternal grandparents.

Those left behind to cherish Irving's memory are his parents; Saul Canela and Lidia Diaz Canela of Port Arthur, Texas; sister, Evelyn Canela Diaz of Port Arthur, Texas.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2022 and Saturday, November 5, 2022, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
