Ivy Darel Ploet

Ivy Darel Ploet, 92, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at Cypress Glen Nursing Home. Ivy was born December 11, 1922 in Port Arthur, Texas to Darrel Ploet and Clemine Castille Ploet. He was a lifelong Port Arthur resident and member of The United Methodist Temple. Ivy was a retired firefighter from the City of Port Arthur and was member of Cosmopolitan Lodge #872. He also proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Louise Ploet, and daughter, Susan Lynn Ploet. Survivors include his daughter, Janis Browning and her husband, Kenneth of Port Arthur, Texas. A visitation for family and friends will be Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, followed by the graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
