Joseph Benjamin Redd, 74, of Port Neches, Texas died Friday, November 18, 2011 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas. Joseph was born February 3, 1937 in Lufkin, Texas to Joseph Clayton Redd and Adell Munson Redd. He was a resident of this area for 48 years and a Conductor for Union Pacific Railroad. He was also a US Army Veteran. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Reverend Winford Johnson officiating. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Wallace Chapel Cemetery in Lufkin, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 at the funeral home. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Vee Redd. Surviving relatives include his sons, Jason �Jay� Redd and wife Lynn of Groves, Texas; Jon Redd of Port Neches, Texas; sisters, Martha Durham and husband Paul of Pollock, Texas; Ann Johnson and husband Winford of Zavalla, Texas; brother, James Mack Redd and wife Dottie of Friendswood, Texas; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Our prayers are with all of you, but especially you Jon. We will miss Uncle JB greatly, but not the same as you. You have been there to care for him, and watch over him, as you did for your Mom. So grateful for that last visit on Pamama's front porch, under the old Oak Tree. I will cherish it forever, as well as our childhood memories with the grownups sitting on the porch, and Pa and Pamama in their rocking chairs and us kids running around catching fire flies, and playing hide and seek.
