J. B. McKinney, 84, of Bridge City, Texas passed away Monday, September 12, 2016. J. B. was born September 11, 1932 in Elkhart, Texas to Howard and Estelle Ray McKinney. He was an area resident for 57 years. J. B. was a 52 year member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Nederland, where he served as church treasurer and deacon for 50 years. J. B. retired from the City of Nederland after 30 years of service as the city treasurer. He also proudly served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ella Mae McKinney of Bridge City; daughter, Linda Noyola and her husband Dino of Groves; son, Mike McKinney of Bridge City; brother, Carroll McKinney and his wife Barbara of Palestine, TX; grandchildren, Trevor Noyola, Nathan Noyola and his wife Amberly, Jordan Noyola, Courtney McKinney, Matthew McKinney, and Jessica McKinney; great-grandson, Corbin Noyola. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 16, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Phil Weber officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

We have been blessed to have known JB. He was an amazing man. His love of the Lord has given much comfort to all who knew him. Looking forward to seeing him again. We praise God for his testimony.

J B was a great man and an example to all of us. He is where he desired to eventually be. We send our love and prayers to all of the family and friends.
