Jack Eugene Bailey

Jack Eugene Bailey, 71, passed away November 12, 2009. He was a lifelong resident of Groves. Jack married Phyllis McDonald Bailey June 14, 1969. He is survived by his son, Randy Paul Bailey, and daughter, Bonnie Kathleen Carlie. He retired from Bricklayer39s Local 13.He comes from a large family. He was a man always willing to lend a helping hand, hard worker. He never met a stranger, virtues that were instilled in all his brothers and sister by their parents.He was preceded in death by his parents, James Walter and Margaret Hitt Bailey a daughter Carol Denise Hoffpauir brothers Tommy, Johnny, and James Bailey.He is survived by six sisters, Louise Jones and Janie Nicotre both of Port Neches Julia Evans and Dorothy Elkins, both of Groves Debbie Fugate of Houston and Betty Lou Saunders of Spurgersix brothers, Robert Bailey of Port Neches Paul Bailey of Nederland Joe Bailey, Donald Bailey, and Buddy Bailey, all of Groves and Ronnie Bailey of Beaumont seven grandchildren, Sarah Hardin, Katie Martion, Jacob McGuckin, Elice Noel, Calbe McGuckin, Randal Estess, and Abbie Estess and numerous nephews and nieces.A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland Sunday, November 15th at 2:00 p.m., Chaplin Gary Grantham officiating.
