Jack J. Vizuete, 88, of Nederland passed away Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the Methodist Hospital in Houston. He was born June 7, 1924 in Port Arthur to the late Rogelio and Antonia Vizuete. He retired from Texaco Refinery in Port Arthur as a Machinist Supervisor with over 40 years of service. Jack also served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 22, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Msgr. Dan Malain officiating with Entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland under the ion of Melancons Funeral Home in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Melancons Funeral Home, 1605 Ave H in Nederland from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Jack was survived by his wife Ethel Vizuete of Nederland his children, Pam Vizuete of Stafford, Dr. Jack R. Vizuete and his wife Sue of Boerne, and Elizabeth Meaders and her husband Terry of Madison, Mississippi eight grandchildren, Russell Quick, Benjamin Quick, Dr. John Vizuete and wife Krista, Stephen Vizuete and wife Nicole, Christopher Meaders, Madeline Meaders, Terra Castanon and husband Eddy, and Jess Meaders and wife Amy four great grandchildren, Mason and Carter Meaders, and Trajan and Isabella Castanon.
