Jacob Reed Cook, 37, of Nederland, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017, in Port Arthur, TX. Jacob was born February 12, 1979, to Michael Harvey Cook and Bette (Reed) Cook of Streetman, TX. He graduated from Teague High School in 1997. He received his BA in Psychology from Chapman University, January of 2001. He also earned his license as a Chemical Dependency Counselor in June of 2005.

Jacob is survived by his wife, Jordanna Cook of Nederland, TX; son, Jude Kilren Cook of Nederland, TX; parents; brothers, Michael Cook and wife, Blakely of the Woodlands and Kevin Cook of Houston, TX; nephews, Colton and Caden Cook; niece, Kaylee Cook. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jocelyn Mae Cook; grandparents, Hugh and Doris Reed, Collins and Gerry Cook.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday, January 29, 2017, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland, TX.
