My father Roy Barnett held James very dear all of his life. Roy always spoke of “Uncle Jamie” with great affection, and took me to see the family when I was a young child. I only met James a few times, but I remember his smiles and gentle demeanor. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Sending comfort to all those he loved.

This may be a duplicate because I already wrote one but it disappeared before I signed it. Jamie came to New York to visit his older brother Roy and me, Roy's wife, when he was quite young. I really enjoyed the camaraderie the two brothers had and especially having Jamie as a guest. I don't recall, it might have been several weeks, but he was always so lovely to have around, and I was sorry to see him go when he was ready. I'm glad he seems so happy in all the pictures, and especially that he had so large and close a family. My very best to the family. I know he will be missed. Lenore Barnett

Jim was such a kind soul who made my Aunt really happy. He was a great person and I am glad Aunt Denise had him as a partner because they had a special bond together. My thoughts and prayers go to his family, Aunt Denise and Charlie his dog but his best buddy.

Jim was the most knowledgeable person in the BR UNIT ,bar none. He programed BR operator friendly when it went from instruments to computer. You could call any hour of the day or night with a problem and he could solve it. He was a great person to work with and to know .I thought of him as a friend. I am sorry for the family's loss.
