James Neil Cannon

James Neil Cannon, 63, of Nederland, Texas passed away November 21, 2020. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on June 10, 1957 to the late James Thomas Cannon and Barbara Evans Wilburn Cannon. James was an electrician for IBEW 479 in Beaumont with 32 years of service. Those left to cherish James’s memory are his children, Rikki Lee Malone and husband Paul of Lumberton, Taylor Cannon of Beaumont, Jessica Cannon of Longview, and Crystal Cannon of Lumberton; his grandchildren, Ruby Holland, Skylar Montgomery, Cason Newton, Cole Malone, and Kristin Malone; his great-grandchildren, Kaiden Holland, Emily Montgomery, Jonah Nichols, Noah Nichols, and Casey Denver Cannon; sisters, Barbara Ann Cannon of Nederland, Nancy Oakes and husband Dan of Billings, Montana, and Cynthia Ford and husband Henry of Nederland; and brother, David Crooks of Pace, Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Donna Kay Cannon, and son-in-law Edward Newton.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon's Funeral Home in Nederland on Friday, January 8, 2020 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:030 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 3:30 p.m. Due to Covid-19 related issues, masks are required to be worn in the funeral home.
