James Edgar Crump, 90, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. James was born November 19, 1926 in Shelby County, Texas to Edgar Crump and Ella Belle Crawford Crump. James was a resident of Port Neches for 30 years and member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. He retired from Gulf Oil after 36 years of service. James proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and one sister. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Yvonne Crump of Port Neches; daughter, Janis Elaine Burge and husband Steven of Vidor; grandchildren, Patrick Reese Owen and wife Tonya, and Clayton James Owen and wife Alex; great-granddaughters, Avery Elaine Owen, and Caroline Grace Owen; great-grandsons, Cole Girouard and Wyatt Girouard. A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, July 7, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with Reverend Shane Baxter officiating. Burial will be at St. Catherine Cemetery in Noble, Louisiana.
